Shooting Day:
In the Morning:
Registration opens at 9:00 am
25m sighting-in range opens 9:30 am until midday
Safety briefing at 9:20 am
Main Range: at 50 metres
No general practice at 50m until after the competition.
9:30 – 11:30 am Competition Rim fire silhouette #2 and #3.
This competition will be conducted twice in the same morning.
Silhouette is shot at 50m, .22LR rifles only, no target accessories permitted (same configuration as for Sporter Class).
Course of Fire:
Unlimited sighters on a paper target in the prone position.
Prone, 5 shots at 5 chickens within 2 minutes
Sitting, 5 shots at 5 pigs as above
Kneeling, 5 shots at 5 turkeys as above
Standing, 5 shots at 5 rams as above
Aggregate score contributes to the Anderton-Harris Shield
After the competition, move back to the 100 m firing point..
In the afternoon:
1:00 – 1:30 pm, Hunters Competition #3
Centre fire novelty event, 5 shots
Any centre fire hunting rifle in an approved calibre
No slings, target clothing or target accessories permitted
Each entry receives a single token to the AGM $500 prize draw
1:00 – 4:30 pm
Main range is at 100m. General practice
