Shooting Day:

In the Morning:

Registration opens at 9:00 am

25m sighting-in range opens 9:30 am until midday

Safety briefing at 9:20 am.

Registration of Competitors at 9:30 am.

9:30 – 10:30 am Competition - Centre Fire Aggregate #2 of 4 (for the 2019 – 20 competition year)

100m, 3 positions, 5 rounds per position

Score is aggregated towards the Stuart Cup (all seniors), the Wangford Shield (ladies) and the Livingstone-Stick Cup (juniors 14 – 18 years of age).

Three shooting classes:

Target Class:  all competition gear according to national rules

Sporter Class: bare rifle (no sling), no target clothing or accessories

Irons sights Class: iron sights rifle in either sporter or target configuration

Move to the 50m firing point

10:45 am – 11:45 am Competition: Rim fire aggregate #2.

50m, 3 positions, 10 shots per position.  Scores aggregate towards the Douglas Everett Memorial Trophy.

Three shooting classes:

Target Class:  all competition gear according to national rules

Sporter Class: bare rifle (no sling), no target clothing or accessories

Irons sights Class: iron sights rifle in either sporter or target configuration

12:00 – 1:00 pm.  Rim fire silhouette competition

Silhouette is shot at 50m, .22LR rifles only, no target accessories permitted (same configuration as for Sporter Class).

Course of Fire:

Unlimited sighters on a paper target in the prone position.

Prone, 5 shots at 5 chickens within 2 minutes

Sitting, 5 shots at 5 pigs as above

Kneeling, 5 shots at 5 turkeys as above

Standing, 5 shots at 5 rams as above

Aggregate score contributes to the Anderton-Harris Shield

Main range at 100m

1:30 – 4:30 pm, general practice.

6 benches available

20 ground lanes available

1:00 – 1:30 pm, Hunters Competition #1 (of 4) for 2019 - 2020

Centre fire novelty event, 5 shots

Any centre fire hunting rifle in an approved calibre

No slings, target clothing or target accessories permitted

Each entry receives a single token to the AGM $500 prize draw

This is a busy competition day, and the branch plans to hold a BBQ in the afternoon, depending on attendance.  Bring along some refreshments and anything you want to put on the BBQ as well.
